Meet Ulsaba the Lion – The King of Natural Play

Strong, proud and made for adventure, say hello to Ulsaba the Lion, the newest member of our Eco Tough Toy family.

His name is inspired by Ulusaba, a Shangaan name from Southern Africa meaning “place of little fear” – a rather fitting name for our brave new lion!

But Ulsaba isn't just a handsome face and magnificent mane. Beneath his soft suede topper is a seriously tough core made from thousands of natural cotton fibres, compacted tightly together using only water and pressure – with no glues or unnecessary chemicals.

The result is a dense, durable toy designed to give your dog something satisfying to chew, carry and play with, without the loose synthetic stuffing found inside many conventional dog toys.

Finished with carefully selected suede and natural rope details, Ulsaba combines different textures to make playtime even more enriching. The natural fibres can also gently help to clean teeth and massage gums as your dog chews and plays.

Tough on play. Kinder to the planet.

At Aurora Paws, we don't believe looking after our dogs should come at the expense of the environment.

That's why Ulsaba has been designed using predominantly natural materials, helping us move away from the plastics, synthetic fillings and plastic squeakers commonly hidden inside traditional dog toys.

His compacted cotton core is:

• Made from natural cotton fibres

• Compacted using water and pressure

• Free from synthetic loose stuffing

• Designed to gradually wear down through play

• Biodegradable and compostable at the end of its usable life

His suede outer is also a by-product material, helping make use of something that may otherwise go to waste.

It's all part of our simple philosophy:

Safer, more natural play for your dog. Better choices for our planet.

Built to be loved, not to last forever

Our Eco Tough Toys aren't indestructible – and they're not supposed to be.

Ulsaba is designed to be chewed, gnawed and thoroughly enjoyed. Over time his suede may become marked, edges may soften and parts of his outer layer may eventually come away. Underneath, however, his incredibly dense compacted cotton core can continue to provide plenty more play.

Unlike a traditional stuffed toy, there's no explosion of synthetic fluff waiting inside!

So whether your dog wants to carry him proudly around the house, settle down for a good chew or unleash their inner lion, Ulsaba is ready for the adventure.

Ulsaba the Lion – a little fear, a lot of courage and a whole lot of natural play. 🦁

Play Safely

As with all dog toys, please supervise your dog during play. Ulsaba is not indestructible and should be removed once any part becomes small enough to swallow.

Some natural dye transfer may occur, particularly when the toy becomes wet. We recommend keeping the toy away from pale fabrics and furnishings when damp.
